AP Modular Drive
Wheel
The standard AP Dome Drive kit now uses a new
modular drive wheel. This wheel has several improvements
over earlier AP drive wheels. It uses a fat 410 size o-ring
which does not roll off the rim like the thinner early style
o-rings. It allows for a much lighter tension spring for
less power drain, and less stress on the Rockler bearing.
The wheel is cut on a CNC mill and uses the
familiar OCC pattern from the original production AP dome
drive. It uses a seperate mounting hub for versatility,
and the aluminum can be polished for a nice look.
