Center Ankle Mounting Kit for JAG Ankle
The AP CL Mount was designed for the
JAG center ankle:
-- This kit is for a STATIC mounted
center leg. This is not a 2-3-2 kit. If you are doing a 2-3-2
system with a JAG ankle you will only need the mounting block which is
available in the Parts section.
-- Provide a means to securely set your
droid in the 3-leg position.
-- A robust system that doesn't require
adjustment or tinkering.

Pre-assembly
: Inventory the kit. Should have a mounting plate, mounting
block, four spacers, and all required hardware.

|
|
|
Pre-assembly:
Mark the JAG center ankle for drilling (ankle not included in the
kit). You can use the dimensions from the drawing to locate the holes
or just slide the block into the leg half way and mark the center (like I
am doing in the picture below. The holes will need to be 3/8"
below the top edge of the ankle.

|
|
|
|
|
Pre-asembly:
Drill the holes in the ankle. I used a 0.21" drill bit.
Use a center punch on the hole first and take your time. The drill
bit will try to "walk" when you first start the hole. You
may need to touch up the location slightly with a needle file to get it to
fit correctly.

Test
Fitting: Attach the ankle to the mount using four each 10-24 X
1/2" socket head screws with flat washers(supplied). Don't need
to make it real tight at this point. We will take it apart and paint
before final assembly.

Test
Fitting: Attach the ankle/block to the mounting plate using four
1/4-20 X 1" socket head cap screws (supplied).

Ankle
Bling added to make that correct appearance. These are JAG aluminum
pieces, but resin looks nice also.

your ankle to that center foot. JAG steel foot shown.

Remove
the skirt retaining screws. You will replace them with the four
spacers, and the 1.5" long 1/4-20 cap screws.

The
mounting plate attaches to the skirt spacers after inserting the spacers
between it and ring four.

bottom of the skirt in this configuration. You can extend or reduce
the amount of ankle extension by changing the length of the spacers.
This measurement is not consistent on the screen droids.
